Tice Electric
Company was founded in Portland by two brothers Linton and
Arthur Tice in 1934. The company offices were located
on S.E. Belmont Street near 20th Avenue for nearly 50 years
until Tice's recent move to Swan Island.

The firm
survived the Great Depression
and World War II and the
brothers were joined by two additional partners in 1951, L.G.
"Greg" Gregersen and J.W. "Jack" McKinnon. The Tice
brothers retired in the 1960's and
Jack McKinnon
retired in 1986.
Greg Gregersen
remained with the company until his death in 1989. During
the 1960's and 1970's the company prospered and
grew to one of the larger electrical construction firms in
the Pacific Northwest where it remains
today. In 2004
Tice celebrated its 70th continuous year of electrical
contracting.
The Company has
two principal owners: John Maloney, President and General
Manager and Gary Severe, Vice President and Project Manager.
Both have been with Tice since the early 70's and are
extremely active in the day-to-day activities as well as the
development and implementation of long-range goals and
strategies.
The company has
successfully completed some of the area's largest and most
complex electrical projects.
